Bureau of Mines Apparatus for Thermal Analysis: Simultaneous Dat-tg- ega for Oil Shale and Solid Fuels.
NTIS: PB 196 676 :17 pages
Apparatus providing simultaneous differential thermal analysis, thermogravimetry, and evolved gas analysis, has been developed by the Bureau of Mines specifically for thermal study of oil shale and other solid, natural fuels. The apparatus is described in detail, and simultaneous analyses on a single sample of an oil shale mineral, nahcolite, and a thermal analysis demonstration compound, calcium oxalate monohydrate, are presented to demonstrate the instrument's capabilities. Work done in cooperation with the University of Wyoming.
