Abstract
This report is the first in a series of three publications on the Juneau Mining District (jmd). This volume summarizes the results of U.S. Bureau of Mines investigations in the jmd during 1984-88; the study identified and examined more than 300 mines, prospects, and occurrences containing gold, silver, copper, zinc, lead, nickel, cobalt, tungsten, molybdenum, chromium, and platinum-group metals.
