Abstract
A guide to the use and development of modifications to a programing language (apl) mine electrical system load-flow program is presented. These modifications include program enhancements in execution time, situation-error checking, and user convenience. In addition, the capability to stimulate balanced faults and combined alternating-direct current (ac-dc) systems is included. To test the generality of the algorithms and apl programs, the computing facilities at West Virginia University and Virginia Polytechnic and State University were used in addition to those at Pennsylvania State University.
