Abstract
This paper describes the preparation of anodes of galena or sphalerite concentrate using pitch, sulfur, and graphite powder as binders. Polarization measurements during the anodic dissolution of the electrodes indicated that significant problems still need to be solved before the direct electrolysis of sulfides can be utilized as a means of winning zinc and lead.
