Bar rolling of ductile cast iron.

This report estimates the potential for hot rolling ductile irons which are customarily used in the as-cast condition. It was found that ductile cast iron can be rolled at 1,750 deg. and 1,925 deg. F at 200 feet per minute on a bar mill to achieve a reduction of greater than 90 percent.
