FRACTAN: A Computer Code for Analysis of Clusters Defined on the Unit Hemisphere.
NTIS: PB 240 685 :49 pages
This report presents a computer code that has been developed by the Bureau of Mines for isolating naturally occurring clusters of data plotted on the unit hemisphere and testing these clusters against a probability distribution that admits elliptical symmetry about its mean. A listing of the computer code is provided along with an example output illustrating the delineation and analysis of clusters in fracture orientations measured in a porphyry copper deposit.
