The Benefits/costs of Tertiary Oil Recovery.

This report presents the results of a benefits/cost analysis of the Bureau of Mines research and development program in secondary and Tertiary technologies for the recovery of oil. The five types of benefits were (1) national savings from a Tertiary option, (2) avoiding reentry of capped wells, (3) balance of payments value, (4) value as an emergency stockpile, and (5) insurance and portfolio values.
