Base maps and tables show the location and most important aspects of each country's mineral and petroleum industry and related infrastructure. The text covers mineral output, trade, and policy, and includes the structure of the mineral industry presented in a table form. The text of each country description concludes with an outlook section, which presents a prognosis of pending developments.
