Abstract
Gold or silver is recovered from ores, tailings, or wastes by agglomerating the fines with a binding agent and cyanide solution, aging, and percolation leaching with nacn solution. Thus, a gold ore containing 0.23 Oz/ton au and some clay was agglomerated with 10 lb/ton of portland cement and a solution containing 2 lb/ton nacn. The aged mixture was leached with a solution containing 0.4 Lb/ton cyanide. The gold recovery was 91.2 pct.
