The purpose of this investigation was to recover potential byproducts from flotation tailings of copper- and nickel-bearing Duluth Gabbro, to isolate residual sulfide and fibrous minerals for utilization or disposal in an environmentally acceptable way, and to extract aluminum from plagioclase concentrate by chlorination.
