Abstract
This paper describes the analysis of 580 polished sections and 50 thin sections from samples and diamond drill cores from the mineralized zones of the Cofer, Arminius, Sulpur, and Julia stratiform sulfide deposits of Louisa County, Virginia. The presence of gahnite in these rocks and its potential as an exploration guide in the search for massive deposits of sulfide ore are also discussed.
