Fire Endurance of Mine Stoppings.
Proc East Sec the Combustion Institute/nbc Ann Conf on Fire Res 1987 :100-1-100-4
This paper describes the testing of the fire-enduring qualities of concrete block and galvanized steel stoppings. Both types of stoppings were found to prevent the passage of flame and smoke at 800 degrees c, and although the concrete stopping cracked on the side exposed directly to the fire, the unexposed side showed no damage.
