Guidelines for choosing face ventilation systems.
Coal Mining 24(10):46, 47, 59
This paper discusses the problem of reducing respirable dust and methane in coal mines. Two machine-mounted face ventilation systems are presented that have been shown to successfully address both of these factors whose reduction techniques have usually proven to counteract each other. Included in this discussion are the costs to install and maintain these systems, and the seam conditions under which they work best.
