Peters RH; Wiehagen WJ
Proc 5th Ann Came Mtg 1987 :98-117
This paper presents the results of a study on attitudes that prevent miners from correcting and avoiding groundfall hazards. Interviews were conducted with 143 miners and 9 coal mine roof and rib inspectors using open-ended and forced-choice questions concerning the inability and/or unwillingness of workers to recognize or correct groundfall hazards.
