These maps show land within 33 Alaskan quadrangles (Ambler River, Arctic, Baird Mountains, Barrow, Barter Island, Beechey Point, Chandalar, Chandler Lake, Christian, Coleen, de Long Mountains, Demarcation Point, Flaxman Island, Harrison Bay, Howard Pass, Ikpikpuk River, Killik River, Lookout Ridge, Meade River, Misheguk Mountain, Mount Michelson, Noatak, Philip Smith Mountains, Point Hope, Point Lay, Sagavanirktok, Survey Pass, Table Mountain, Teshekpuk, Umiat, Utukok River, Wainwright, and Wiseman) that was available for mineral exploration and development in northern Alaska in 1986. The mineral deposits shown on the accompanying overlays are identified in the Bureau of Mines Minerals Availability System (MAS).
