A Catastrophe Model of Behavioral Accidents.
Proc 1985 :514-515
This paper describes the relationship between individual psychological, group behavioral, and environmental variables, as well as other accident causing factors, and answers several long- standing questions about why some normally safe behaving persons occasionally engage in unsafe acts having high risks of serious injury. Ways to reduce the number of accidents are also discussed.
