Abstract
This report describes the state of the art of chemistry as it applies to in situ mining. Some of the topics covered are electrolytic solutions, dissolved gases, solid-liquid equilibria, adsorption and ion exchange, kinetics of ore minerals, kinetics of matrix minerals, kinetics of adsorption and ion exchange, biologic leaching, and experimental leaching studies.
