New Developments in Mine Ventilation.
Ch 6 in Underground Min Methods Handbook Soc min eng AIME 1982 :1674-1679
Recent developments in mine ventilation are reviewed. For hard-rock mines, the list includes new types of stoppings and a method to easily measure stopping leakage. A tracer gas technique for measuring mine ventilation airflow is also discussed. For coal, items include improvements in face ventilation, drainage of methane, and forecasting methane emissions.
