Abstract
This paper describes the testing and evaluation of a water-powered scrubber system on the continuous miner to reduce dust. Ram-1 dust monitors were used with continuous strip chart recorders to measure dust levels during the cutting of coal, both with the scrubber on and off. Dust reductions of up to 78 pct were measured.
