National Prototype Copper Mining Water Management Plan.

The objective of this study was to develop best management practices for the use of water at mines in the Globe-Miami, Arizona, copper mining district. This paper, the concluding report in a series of 10, investigated the relationship between surface and ground water quality and copper mining. Methods to prevent, minimize, mitigate, or treat polluted water were identified and evaluated. Best management practices are incorporated in a recommended plan to manage the area's water quality.
