The Development of Guidelines for Closing Underground Mines: Colorado Districts.

The purpose of this research was to study mine-related problems in several underground mining districts with the goal of developing guidelines or suggestions for improved closing procedures for underground mines that would reduce or eliminate these problems. This report documents conditions of closed underground mines in three Colorado mining districts--Leadville, Westcliffe, and Cripple Creek-Victor.
