Geochemical properties and toxicological effects of aquatic life of coal wastes.

This investigation is comprised of interrelated physical, chemical, and biological analyses for a broad-based evaluation of the impact of abandoned spoil banks and coal solid wastes on the aquatic environment. The analytical synthesis of the data from this investigation would aid in control technology, development of reclamation, and determine the potential degree of toxicity of these wastes as required by the Surface Mine Control and Reclamation Act of 1977, Public Law 95-87.
