This report summarizes the development and demonstration of retrofit noise control treatments for large track dozers. Noise control treatments were installed on three demonstration dozers and field tested for more than 1 yr in surface mines. One dozer was equipped with a basic operator cab and the other two were equipped with rollover protective structures. The noise control treatments proved to be both effective and durable. As part of the project, a field manual describing the fabrication and installation of the treatments was also produced. The manual was distributed to mining industry representatives through a series of 1-day workshops across the United States. Forty-nine workshops were presented to over 800 people. As a result of the favorable reception of the workshops, an audiovisual slide presentation was also developed that summarizes the program.
