Abstract
The overall objective of this four-volume report w4s to investigate the application, economic, and safety considerations of electrical- shock prevention techniques applied to surface and underground mines. Volume I is primarily concerned with the protection of maintenance personnel. Volume II is concerned with the application of sensitive ground-fault interrupters to ac utilization circuits in U.S. mines. Volume III examines the emphasis on surface excavators. Volume IV examines the problem of indirect contact of overhead high- voltage powerlines by mining personnel.
