Abstract
The objective of this investigation was to study the design, construction, and testing of hydraulic models of culvert, decant, and open spillway systems that are typical drainage structures used for protecting mine waste embankments. Test results and products in the forms of graphs, tables, and film demonstrating the principles and factors that govern the function and performance of the three types of drainage structure are included.
