Abstract
A previous contract study provides a survey of industry needs in portable underground crushing, together with conclusions and concepts as to specifications and type of crusher required to serve the greatest number of operations. This supplementary report covers the complete engineering design and specifications of a rotary jaw crusher conceived in the earlier study. Also included are the design, construction, and testing of a quarter-scale functional model using three different types of rock and two different crusher feeder systems.
