Abstract
Enhancement of bulldozing production rate through the use of fuel- air explosions for soil displacement was studied using scale-model testing. It was concluded that the process is applicable to conventional bulldozing as well as side-casting, and that it is technically feasible as well as economical. Further development work is recommended for the construction of a full-size unit for evaluation.
