Development and Performance of a Field Calibration Light Source. (Spectra Luminance/illuminance Standard for U.S. Bureau of Mines).
NTIS: PB 270 791 Available for Reference At Bureau Libraries :52 pages
This report describes the development and performance of a multilevel, multifunction calibration light source designed for field calibration of a group of specific photometers. The calibration source is capable of providing +-3 pct accuracy calibrations at all of the following levels: 0.05 Ft-l, 6 ft-l, 6 ft-c, and 20 ft-c. The source was found to provide constant light output to within 1 pct over 50 hr of lamp operation and for line voltage variations of +-25 pct. It is compact and lightweight, it requires no darkroom, and it can easily be transported and used by one person in normal office environments.
