NTIS: PB/252-101 Available for Reference At Bureau Libraries :381 pages
The Jenny Mine, a single section, was developed in the Stockton Seam near Inez, Martin County, Kentucky. Two shuttle cars, a face drill, loading machine, cutting machine, and a cleanup scoop were purchased. These were modified by adding protective cabs or canopies and revising the controls. Controls were simplified and grouped in a task-oriented arrangement. Communications and lighting were added to all face equipment. Testing and various data gathering exercises were performed. The report compares results obtained with the results of other operations as well as with results that may be expected.
