NTIS: PB/220-806 Available for Reference At Bureau Libraries :103 pages
Pennsylvania State University scientists have developed special analyzers and made measurements at various coal mines to acquire basic data regarding mine electrical power distribution. The report covers power analyses for working sections, ground-bed and mine- floor resistance data, and a description of a power-system computer simulation that is being developed. This research was devoted primarily to the acquisition of field data by utilizing a recently designed three-phase ac continuous-power analyzer. Determination of the electrical performance characteristics and development of instrumentation proceeded concurrently.
