Feasibility Study of Surface Impregnation Equipment for Chemical Stabilization of Coal Mine Structures, 4 Volume Set, Volume 2 - Final Report, Phase I.
NTIS: PB/225-365/6as Available for Reference At Bureau Libraries :94 pages
Phase I of this study was concerned with the following objectives: (1) investigate, through industry and literature searches and conceptual design studies, the feasibility of techniques for impregnating the roof and ribs of a coal mine for structural stabilization; (2) select concept(s) and prepare preliminary designs for cost and compatibility analysis leading to selection of concept(s) for feasibility demonstration and detailed design. Phase I of the program clearly indicated that a machine for stabilization of coal mine structures through surface impregnation with polymer was completely feasible.
