The objective of this program was to develop a reliable and meaningful basis for assessing certain health aspects, namely toxicity hazards created prior to combustion by articles employed in underground coal mining operations. This investigation was concentrated on halogenated materials, specifically solvents, degreasing agents, fire extinguishants, additives, and conveyor beltings.
