Advances in Noise Control of Underground Coal Mining Equipment.
NCA/BCR Coal Conf Louisville Kentucky 1976 Oct; :253-264
As mandated by the Federal Coal Mine Health and Safety Act of 1969, research has continued at the Bureau of Mines to develop noise control technology for mining machinery. The discussion provides an update on the status of selected noise research projects directed at equipment used in underground coal mines. During the past year advances in the development and application of noise control technology occurred in three areas: chain conveyors, continuous miners, and auger miners.
