This work is an instructor's manual for a modularized course in industrial ventilation designed for undergraduate and graduate level students. The materials are applicable as a two semester course or a 3 week intensive short course. Module 2 includes seven units of study: characteristics of airborne contaminants; principles of ventilation; categories of ventilation systems; components of ventilation systems; design of a ventilation system; special ventilation problems; and testing and evaluating ventilation systems. For each unit, the manual includes an introduction; an outline of performance objectives; unit activities for instructions and students; a list of facilities, equipment, and materials needed; lesson outlines; practice exercises; and solutions to practice exercises. Some units also include demonstration outlines, review problems, self tests and solutions.
