This publication included lists of products certified as of October 1, 1984 for use in coal mines including dust sampling units and respiratory protective devices, and tables of useful information concerning the certified units including the identification of approved component parts. The lists of approval applicants, and a list of test procedures for certification of these mentioned products were updated. Names and addresses of the manufacturers and distributors of the approved coal mine dust personal sampler units were listed. The types of certified respiratory protective devices included: self contained breathing apparatus; gas masks; supplied air respirators; respirators for dust, fume and mist; chemical cartridge respirators; and vinyl-chloride respirators.
