Abstract
This memorandum concerned a program to provide financial assistance to individuals interested in earning a master's degree in the area of industrial safety or industrial hygiene. There were 79 students who received stipend assistance through the program. There were 62 persons who received financial aid through this grant between the period of 1976 to 1979, only 2 of whom did not finish the master's degree program; one of these two entered medical school instead. All the others, insofar as was known, were employed in their field of study. The 17 persons who received aid during the 1980-81 school year were expected to complete the training and to be employed in this field as well. Since the beginning of the industrial safety and hygiene department at this university, 307 individuals have graduated in the BS degree program and 470 in the MS program.
