The Testing of Personal Impactor Samplers with Monodisperse Aerosols.
NIOSH 1980 Apr:17 pages
Two personal impactor samples were tested with liquid and solid monodisperse aerosols. The units tested consisted of a two jet size impactor and three jet size impactor. The two jet size impactor had a large central jet of 0.25 centimeter (cm) diameter, and 16 smaller jets of 0.063cm diameter surrounding the large central hole in a circular pattern. The three jet size impactor was identical in shape and construction to the two jet size impactor except for the jet sizes. It had a large central jet of 0.24cm diameter, eight aerosols were generated with a monodisperse aerosol generator from solutions of oleic-acid (112801) in isopropanol or potassium- hydrogen-phthalate (877247) in 50 percent water, 50 percent isopropanol.
