Control Technology Assessment of Selected Process In The Textile Finishing Industry.

The current state of the art control technology in use in the textile finishing industry for the protection of workers from chemical and physical health hazards is assessed. Results of a literature search and onsite surveys are discussed. Textile finishing processes including preparatory processes, dyes, dyeing, printing, and continuous dyeing are described. Control technology in textile finishing involving principals of control, application or control techniques, and recommendations and research needs are considered. Preliminary surveys, sampling analytical methodology, process chemical usage, industrial processes, case histories, toxic chemical exposure recognition, glossary, and abstracting data are included.
