Determination of Respirator Filtering Requirements in a Coke Oven Atmosphere.

The design of a study for evaluating respiratory filters for use in coke oven atmospheres is presented. The scope of the test project is outlined along with selected test masks and testing sites. Test equipment, materials, and procedures also are described, and preliminary emission sampling results are included. A work forecast and proposed work plan modifications are provided.
