Abstract
Environmental and personal air samples were analyzed for vinyl- chloride-monomer (75014) at Portec, Incorporated (SIC-2821) in Paducah, Kentucky during November 30 to December 1, 1976. The evaluation was requested by management on behalf of approximately 50 employees involved in polyvinyl chloride production. No vinyl- chloride-monomer was detected in any of the samples. The authors recommend that air sampling be conducted at this facility whenever there are changes in the production chemicals or work practices which may increase vinyl-chloride exposure.
