Endrin Analytical Method.

The NIOSH analytical method S284 for determining endrin (72208) in air is described. Samples are collected on a mixed cellulose ester filter and Chromosorb-102 (9003707), desorbed with toluene (108883), and analyzed by gas chromatography with an electron capture detector. The working range of the method is 0.06 to 0.31 milligrams per cubic meter, the coefficient of variance is 0.071, and the detection limit is 20 nanograms per sample. Analytical apparatus, reagents, and procedures are described, and calculations are provided for determining sample concentrations. Data on collection efficiency, and recovery, stability and breakthrough rates is included.
