The NIOSH analytical method S43 for determining methyl-methacrylate (80626) in air is described. Samples are adsorbed on XAD-2, desorbed with carbon-disulfide and analyzed by gas chromatography with flame ionization detectors. The working range of the method is 193 to 725 milligrams per cubic meter and the coefficient of variance is 0.063; the limit of detection was not determined. Analytical apparatus, reagents and procedures are described and mathematical formulas for calibration and standardization are provided. Data on recovery, stability and breakthrough rates is included.
