Abstract
A calibration procedure for direct reading mercury (7439976) vapor detectors was developed. Mercury vapor concentrations were generated by injecting known amounts of mercury into a purified air stream. Mercury concentrations were verified by a combination of continuous monitoring and chemical analysis procedures. After verification, the generated vapor could be used for instrument calibration by direct sampling into the meter.
