Result of Air Samples at Maremont Grizzly Corporation, Paulding, Ohio.

Worker exposures to asbestos (1332214) were surveyed at the Maremont- Grizzly Corporation in Paulding, Ohio, during September 1966. Samples were collected using impinger and membrane filter methods. Breathing zone samples taken with the impinger ranged from 0.5 to 47.6 million particles per cubic foot (mppcf), while general area air samples contained 0.4 to. 2.1mppcf. Membrane filter samples for breathing zone areas ranged from 0.2 to 111.0 fibers greater than 5 microns in length per cubic centimeter (f/cc), and personal air samples contained 0.6 to 100.6f/cc. The threshold limit value of 5mppcf was exceeded in several areas of the facility.
