Cincinnati, OH: U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, Public Health Service, Consumer Protection and Environmental Health Service, Environmental Control Administration, Bureau of Occupational Safety and Health, 1970 Jan; :1-134
The proper occupational health nursing content in undergraduate professional nursing education was studied. Available literature was reviewed to develop a theoretical framework to assess occupational health nursing content of a curriculum. The framework was tested at The University of Tennessee College of Nursing and an achievement test in occupational health nursing was developed based on the results. Recommendations were made for nurse educators and practicing nurses. The implications of the theoretical framework in nursing education were discussed.
