Abstract
United Painters and Decorators, Incorporated of Beltsville, Maryland was surveyed on August 31, to evaluate the feasibility of including the company in an industrial hygiene and epidemiology study of the construction industry. Operational processes and potential exposures were reviewed, along with company medical and personnel records. The authors recommend that this company would be suitable for a study of exposures to epoxy paints because union and contractor records can identify a large number of painters and their specific exposures.
