An information profile on the potential occupational hazards in the manufacture and use of rosin core solder (SIC-3356) is presented. Process descriptions, relevant chemical and physical agents, the number of workers exposed or employed, biologic effects of agents encountered, incidence of injury and illness, and existing exposure standards are included. One pertinent NIOSH Health Hazard Evaluation is reviewed.
