Industrial process - explosives and fireworks manufacturing.

An information profile on the potential occupational hazards of explosives and fireworks manufacturing (SIC-2899, SIC-2892) is presented. Process descriptions, relevant chemical and physical agents, the number of workers exposed or employed, biologic effects of substances used, and existing exposure standards are included. Incidence of mortality, injury, and morbidity is presented. No NIOSH health hazard evaluations pertinent to the manufacture of explosives and fireworks were available for this report.
