The Future Occupational Physician - What Should His Training Be?
NIOSH 1979 Jun:143-16
The occupational medicine program at the University of Washington is briefly described. The epidemiological program is available to physicians and emphasizes prevention. The two major components are organization and management and clinical practice. Each resident draws up a contract with the faculty, expressing his educational objectives. The author believes that, in order to produce well trained occupational physicians, the student's intellectual curiosity must not be stifled.
