The courses offered by NIOSH consist entirely of short term training. Courses are offered in occupational health nursing, occupational medicine, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and legal aspects of the OSH Act of 1970. Courses under development include recognition and control of occupational diseases, occupational medicine for primary care physicians, occupational health toxicology, and introduction to industrial hygiene engineering and control. Training methodology and training implementation are described. Tuition and fees, group courses and continuing education credit are explained.
